Welcome to the Lewisburg Historical Society Inc. website! The society was established in February 1992 when 14 citizens met for the purpose of saving the Lewisburg Train Depot after it was feared to be sold at an auction.  Since its inception in 1992, the Historical Society restored a 1918 B&O Caboose that is currently located on the backside of the society building and also renovated the H. E. Singer Blacksmith Shop. The Blacksmith Shop is open once a month with a blacksmithing demonstration. Over the years the society has held numerous events and fundraisers such as Farm Days, Lewisburg Bicentennial activities in 2018,  SnowBalls, Ice Cream Socials, Christmas At The Caboose, just to name a few.  We hold monthly meetings in the train depot building on the second Tuesday at 7:00 PM unless noted differently, we usually don't hold a monthly meeting for the month of December. We are always looking for new members!
